Eurocode 2 ULS design of circular (or tubular) reinforced concrete cross-section for bending and axial force

Description:
ULS design of circular or tubular reinforced concrete cross-section for bending and axial force (calculation of required reinforcement for given bending moment / axial force, maximum moment resistance MRd for given axial force, or complete M-N interaction diagram for given reinforcement layout)
According to:
EN 1992-1-1:2004+AC2:2010 Section 6.1
Supported National Annexes:
Nationally Defined Parameters (NDPs) automatically filled for supported countries

Input
MPa
e.g. 30 MPa for concrete class C30/37. For a list of concrete classes see Table of Concrete Design Properties
MPa
The elastic-perfectly plastic model (no hardening) is permitted in EN1992-1-1 §3.2.7(2) with unlimited strain. A strain limit of 75‰ is consider in this calculation for numerical reasons. Alternatively stress-strain laws with hardening and limited strains may be considered according to the ductility classes A, B or C specified in EN1992-1-1 Annex C.

m
m
Enter 0 for solid circular cross-sections

Initial reinforcement: When the required reinforcement is requested the initial reinforcement will be modified accordingly.

mm
m

This layer can be the internal surface reinforcement for hollow tubular cross-sections or a second reinforcement layer for solid circular cross-sections. Enter 0 to disable the internal reinforcement layer.
mm
m
The distance is measured from the external concrete surface even for the internal reinforcement layer

kNm
The design value of the bending moment for which the required reinforcemet will be determined
kN
The design value of the axial force for which the maximum bending moment resistance of the cross-section will be calculated
The specified layers will be modified proportionally by multiplication by the same factor. The rest of the layers will remain unchanged.
